Before proceeding, it is important to create a download directory where your files will be saved. To create the download folder, go to the Control Panel, click on Shared Folder, and then click on Create. Enter the name “Downloads” for the folder and follow the prompts to complete the process.
Step 4: Configure Permissions
After creating the download folder, it is recommended to configure the permissions to ensure that Deluge has access to download files to it. Open the download folder in File Station, click on Edit, and then click on Permissions. Under Groups, select “sc download” and ensure that it has read-write access. Click on OK to save the changes.
Step 5: Access Deluge Web Interface
Now that Deluge is installed and the necessary folder is created, we can access the Deluge web interface. Open your web browser and enter the IP address of your Synology NAS followed by port 8112. For example, if your IP address is 192.168.0.1, enter “192.168.0.1:8112” in the address bar. The default password for the web interface is “deluge”.
Step 6: Connect to Deluge
Once you have entered the web interface, click on “Host” and then click on “Connect” to establish a connection to your Deluge instance.
Step 7: Add Torrents
To start downloading torrents, click on “Add” and then paste the URL of the torrent file in the provided field. Click on “Add” again to initiate the download. You can monitor the progress of your downloads in the Deluge web interface.
